ITINERARY

Day One, Arrival in Queenstown, New Zealand: On arrival in Queenstown, you are met by our New Zealand Adventure Co. representative and privately driven to your stunning, lakeview accommodation.

Day Two in Queenstown (Breakfast included today): Today is a wonderful opportunity following your international arrival to relax, refresh and acquaint yourselves with this exciting and scenic area prior to the ensuing days of exploration and adventure.

Taste New Zealand - 20 nights / 21 days

Day Three in Queenstown / Milford Sound (Breakfast and dinner included today): This morning you will be collected from your accommodation for departure in to Milford Sound and your magical overnight cruise in Fiordland National Park.

Day Four in Milford Sound / Queenstown (Breakfast included today): This morning following breakfast on your cruising vessel, you will begin the relaxing, scenic trip back to Queenstown. The landscapes en route to Queenstown are majestic, ranging from broad grassy flats, dense rainforest, and towering mountains through to glacial lakes and alpine herb fields.

Day Five in Queenstown (Breakfast included today): This morning you will receive your late model, automatic rental vehicle and enjoy a day of exploring the Queenstown and surrounds in the freedom of your car.

Day Six in Queenstown (Breakfast and lunch included today): This morning you will travel to Glenorchy, at the head of Lake Wakatipu for your fantastic small group backcountry jetboat trip with half day Routeburn Track walk. Lunch today is included at a wonderful little eatery recognized as a noteworthy mention by the acclaimed Saveur magazine.

Day Seven in Queenstown / Dunedin (Breakfast included today): Today you will travel through the idyllic Central Otago region to the lovely southern city of Dunedin and your wonderful beachfront accommodation.

Day Eight in Dunedin (Breakfast included today): Accompanied by your local guide, you will experience the beauty of Otago Peninsula including a small-vessel wildlife cruise out to Taiaroa Head and guided tours of the Royal Albatross Colony, the Yellow Eyed Penguin Reserve and a visit to wading bird habitats.

Day Nine in Dunedin (Breakfast included today): Today is yours to spend at leisure in the pretty harborside city of Dunedin.

Day Ten in Dunedin / Christchurch (Breakfast included today): This morning you will depart Dunedin and travel up the southern East Coast to Christchurch via Oamaru, Timaru and Ashburton. On arrival, you will check in to your charming accommodation.

Day Eleven in Christchurch / Kaikoura (Breakfast and dinner included today): Today you'll depart Christchurch for the leisurely drive up northward to celebrated Hapuku Lodge just north of Kaikoura on the South Island's spectacular eastern coastline. On arrival at the Lodge you will be shown to your beautiful room prior to this evening's dinner at the Lodge.

Day Twelve in Kaikoura / Nelson (Breakfast included today): The lovely trip up the northern East Coast takes you between the Kaikoura Mountain Range on one side and the South Pacific Ocean on the other - it is one of the most picturesque drives in New Zealand. On arrival in the Nelson region, your beautiful accommodation is located on Monaco Peninsula just minutes from Nelson city.

Day Thirteen in Nelson (Breakfast and lunch included today): This morning you will drive to the beautiful Golden Bays area and the small beach settlement Kaiteriteri. From this special little area of New Zealand, you will commence your incredible full day of sea kayaking and hiking in the South Island’s awe-inspiring Abel Tasman National Park.

Day Fourteen in Nelson (Breakfast included today): Today is yours to spend at leisure to explore this spectacular location in the freedom of your rental vehicle.

Day Fifteen in Nelson / Wellington (Breakfast included today): You will travel by car and ferry through the majestic Marlborough Sounds and Cook Strait to the capital city of Wellington. On arrival, check in to your beautifully appointed accommodation.

One Night at The Bolton Hotel in a Classic Suite

Day Sixteen in Wellington / Napier (Breakfast included today): On departing Wellington today, you will travel through the Kapiti region on the West Coast of the North Island prior to cutting inland through the dramatic Manawatu Gorge and ultimately arriving in the beautiful East Coast region of Hawkes Bay. On arrival in Napier, you'll check in to your waterfront accommodation.

Day Seventeen in Napier (Breakfast included today): Accompanied by your expert guide today, you will enjoy your wonderful half day food and wine trip in this, one of New Zealand's most significant food and wine growing regions.

Day Eighteen in Napier / Rotorua (Breakfast included today): This morning you will take the short drive to Rotorua via the scenic Napier-Taupo road through the location of the country's largest lake, beautiful Lake Taupo. On arrival in Rotorua, check in to your centrally situated lakeview accommodation.

Day Nineteen in Rotorua (Breakfast and dinner included today): This morning, you'll experience a fantastic introduction to this culturally rich geothermal wonderland with a guided tour of Te Puia with your knowledgeable Maori guide. Following this wonderful encounter with Te Puia, the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure in Rotorua until this evening when you'll be collected from your accommodation for your outstanding Maori cultural experience including a traditional hangi feast for dinner.

Day Twenty in Rotorua / Auckland (Breakfast and dinner included today): Today you will depart Rotorua and take the scenic drive through the north-central North Island to the exciting metropolis of Auckland. Following arrival, you'll check in to your lovely accommodation. Early this evening you will take the short walk to this evening's venue for your exclusive, New Zealand Adventure Co. farewell dinner at one of Auckland's premier restaurant's.

Day Twenty One, Departure from Auckland, New Zealand (Breakfast included today): Today you'll drive to the Auckland Airport where you will farewell New Zealand and board your flight home.
